August 28, 2025 Assumption University of Thailand (AU), by Institute for Research and Academic Services, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts and Student Affairs joined forces with Pag Klong Chuad Yai School to host “AU Earth Hero”, a lively program designed to engage students in energy and environmental conservation through fun, hands-on activities.

The event commenced at the school’s Activity Court with warm remarks from Mr. Kunthawat Sueasa-ard, School Director, followed by a program report delivered by Dr. Pornpop Saengthong, Director of Institute for Research and Academic Services (IRAS), AU. The official opening was presided over by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU. Also, in attendance were Acting Sub Lt. Dr. Yutthana Suwannatar, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nutthaphut Pandjad, Dean of the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts. A commemorative group photo captured the spirit of collaboration between the University, the School.




Students then took part in an icebreaker workshop that introduced the meaning of conservation and the principles of the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Energy-saving habits and simple steps to cut waste were highlighted in a fun and interactive way.
The centerpiece of the afternoon was the “3R Adventure Station – Trash-Cutting Quest,” where young learners worked in teams to turn theory into practice. The session combined play and problem-solving, reinforcing practical skills in environmental responsibility.
To sustain these efforts beyond the day’s activities, President of AU, presented the school with energy conservation campaign materials and related equipment, underscoring AU’s commitment to supporting long-term change. The program closed with words of encouragement from representative of the school , reminding students that small daily actions can add up to big impacts for the planet.
